hey, here's what i've been reading

this will be a loooong work in progress

	this was the last book i read. i needed to sit with it for a little while to make a good assesment of my opinion. and honestly, 4/5. I think it's quite up to date even tho it was written 100 years ago. of course there was a bit of misogyny there, which was to be expected tbh (tho I would have liked a bit more background on Lenina as well as actions revolving around her, and how she actually sees the situation).
	this has to be the best book i've read lately. at least top 5 of my life. ca si cum nimic nu s-ar fi intamplat was for sure a book on femininity and everything revolving it, as the description on the back said. I was a bit intimidated by the length of it, however the descriptions i found within were gruesome and raw and touching like no other author i've read was able to achieve. reading it in romanian especially after a period of being far away from my own language (physically and spiritually), healed me. the queer story and the environment of the characters made me feel seen. Alina Nelega is for sure a big big inspiration for me at the moment. (thank you to my mom for crossing it off my bday wishlist, it made my year)
	this one was a solid read. I enjoy reading short stories, especially after a reading slump. I had this one on my kindle and usually read it on my commute. actually the one that stayed with me the most was From the sea by Charlie Higson aswell as The man who collected Barker by Kim Newman.
	listen to me, if you are not a 16yo incel, then you have no reason to read this book. i read it because "omg it's such a classic" but no. just spare yourself the energy and time. i was on the verge of DNF-ing it last night when i was still half way through it. i somehow convinced myself that it can't get any worse (spoiler, it did), and i later decided that i might as well just finish it now cause i ain't gonna pick it up ever again. and indeed i never will. and if you don't understand why, lemme just give you a list of trigger warnings: misogyny, homophobia, racism. and they were such fundamental parts of the story that i dont think one could turn a blind eye to it.
